Diabetes - a common disorder that occurs when the pancreas either totally stops producing insulin or does not produce enough for the body's needs. There are two types of diabetes: Type I which requires daily insulin injections and Type II which can be managed with diet, exercise, and medication. Type I diabetes occurs most frequently in young people and Type II occurs most frequently in overweight people over 40.
